Be careful not to bend legs when assembling.

Setup is fairly intuitive, but I watched a KingCamp instruction video just in case. Unfortunately, I still accidentally bent four legs before realizing it. I knew that it was supposed to take some effort to set up, but I guess I went overboard.

The wingnut bolts on the side of the legs can be loosened with the included hex wrench. After damaging some legs, I realized that I needed to loosen each wingnut bolt 1.5 full turns. This means the legs aren’t perfectly vertical and the feet won’t sit flat (more weight on inside edges of feet).

I imagine I’ll need to retighten the wingnuts some after a few uses as the cot fabric stretches. This should make the legs more vertical again.

I really like the cot. Just wanted to put this out there so other first time cot users like myself don’t damage their new camp bed on the first use!

compact, light, very comfortable

Spencer Aircraft resold these for a few years in their pilot shop for a much higher price, this year they didn't list them on their website so I bought this before leaving for Airventure. This has the exact same aluminum and plastic structure, slightly different fabric sleeping surface and storage bag. It's the same level of comfort, and I expect it to last as long. We only use it once a year, for a week at a time, so unless something unusual happens I expect it to last several years. Great price, easy to setup/take down, very compact in its storage bag. much preferable to sleeping on foam pads or therm a rest pads. if you're over 250lb, use some kind of pad on top, you might bottom out the fabric on the support bars and get a minor bruise across your back. this isn't a flaw in design, just at the outer limit of usability. still more comfortable to sleep on than pads on the ground.

Big, strong, comfortable

This product is well made. I'm 6'4" and 210lbs and it's long enough and durable enough to hold me ease and comfort. KingCamp products never disappoint, and I caught this one on a great sale with a deep discount.

When I received the SkyCot, it had been damaged in shipping. The damage was small and fixable, so I reached out to customer support to request a piece of bungee cord to fix it myself. No big deal, still a great product and not their fault. They promptly replied, asked for a little order and damage info, and then said, "...no worries, we'll just send you a whole new one." Phenomenal!

Packs small but really could use something to go under the feet

Used it while motorcycle camping, I am normally a hammock camper and while not near as comfortable as a hammock this is better than sleeping on the ground. It packs up pretty small but it could use some pads or something to go under the feet on it because it's a bit rough on your tent floor. I cut some pcs of cardboard to use under the feet.

Off the ground

This cot works fine to keep you off the ground. It's still just 6" tall but a poco pad on it is good.
I recommend it for folks who are NOT 67 years old. Younger would be better. .
